After several weeks of 'giving time' for everyone to reach a level of performance that enables the group to progress, without progress being made, it's time to make the changes in the roster.
Many of you know that in the past, we have brought 'everyone' to raid and have fun with, and when I wanted to progress, I ran with pugs instead to full clear, or with other guilds. For this expansion, I had decided not to do that. Instead, to be generous in the amount of time people were given to get up to speed, and then cut "for now" whoever was not pushing the right levels of performance. Then backfill with pugs / raiding partners -- in essence, pugging to clear content however doing it with 'our pug' versus joining someone else's pug.
This evening, most of our usual raiders will not be zoning in with us. Be sensitive to that. On the other hand, don't make a mountain out of a molehill. Someone not being there now, does not mean they won't be there down the road - it means only that they are not there now.
Progression raiders, I urge you to work with the social raiders and give them your assistance - whether it be going over their gear, their spec, their rotations, their raid awareness, their understanding of the mechanics. These are our friends -- it could be something small and simple that is keeping them from performing to the progression level.
Effective immediately, Saturday Night Raid is a social raid starting at 8:30 PM server (9:30 PM EST). Those raiders not in the progression raid group, plan for Saturdays. Those in the progression group, bring your alts to Saturday Night and lend your boss expertise to the group.
Tuesday and Friday Night Raids are progression raid group nights. Very old school style approach to the raid composition PER BOSS. Be online, whether you are in the group or on standby on a boss.
Over the course of the next 2-3 weeks, we should be able to shake out and the group should find it's rhythm.
Over the next 4-6 weeks, we will recruit to add ranks to our progression raid group in order for the guild to complete guild achievements, and to offset when people are not available.
See you online.
